Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HireOutside ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including employers, contractors, and administrators.

2. Platform Description

HireOutside provides a platform for businesses ("Clients") to manage and pay international contractors. Services include invoice generation, contractor payment processing, and Contractor of Record (COR) services in supported countries.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@hireoutside.com.

Accounts are for business use only. Each company may create one account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to enter into contracts on behalf of your company.

4. Fees and Payments

HireOutside charges a platform fee of $49 USD per contractor per month. Fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable except where required by law.

For Contractor of Record services, a refundable security deposit equal to one month's contractor payment is required. This deposit is fully refunded upon contract termination.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By using the platform, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5. Contractor of Record Services

For COR services, HireOutside acts as the legal employer of record for contractors in supported countries. The Client retains full control over the work performed. HireOutside is responsible for local compliance, contracts, and statutory obligations in the contractor's country.

COR services are subject to eligibility assessment. HireOutside reserves the right to decline COR services in jurisdictions where it is unable to provide compliant services.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent the nature of work or contractor relationships
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment systems
• Share account access with unauthorized parties
• Use the platform to pay for illegal goods or services

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared through the platform, including contractor rates, payment details, and business information. This obligation survives termination of these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

HireOutside's liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate use of the platform with 30 days written notice. HireOutside may suspend or terminate accounts immediately for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 90 days before deletion, except where longer retention is required by law.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Canadian arbitration rules, except where prohibited by local law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
